CMA CGM Group is offering an internship in Marseille as a Procurement & Data Analyst Assistant. You will work with the Group Purchasing Department in an international context, supporting CAPEX and OPEX purchasing strategies, data analysis, and KPI-driven improvements.

You will collaborate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, building dashboards, monitoring supplier performance, and contributing to tender processes.

Qualifications

• Bac+5 in Purchasing, Supply Chain, Data Analytics or Project Management; first experience in purchasing, management control, or data analysis is a plus.
• Strong proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, Power Query) and PowerPoint, with knowledge of data analysis and reporting; familiarity with Power BI or other data visualization tools is a plus.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Rigorous, analytical, curious, and proactive with excellent communication and teamwork in an international environment.

• Ensure data quality and reliability; contribute to price and performance databases.

YOUR ROLE

Reporting to the Group Purchasing Department, within the Container Handling Equipment (CHE) Purchasing Department, you contribute to continuous improvement and purchasing performance projects carried out on an international scale.

Supporting the Category Management team, you take part in defining and deploying CAPEX and OPEX purchasing strategies, analyzing performance data, and improving the processes and tools used to optimize the management of the supplier panel and equipment.

You work in an international environment, interacting with numerous internal stakeholders (Purchasing, Operations, Finance, Technical) as well as external partners (manufacturers and strategic suppliers).

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TODO ?

• Data Analytics & Reporting
  • Collect, structure, and analyze purchasing and supplier data
  • Build and maintain dashboards and key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Produce regular reporting for management and stakeholders
  • Ensure the quality and reliability of the data used by the team
  • Contribute to the setup and maintenance of price and performance databases
• Monitor projects through the SRM tool
• Contribute to the evaluation and performance monitoring of strategic suppliers
• Help prepare and lead supplier Business Reviews
• Track the action plans defined with suppliers
• Contribute to updating the supplier panel and monitoring associated risks
• Strategic Purchasing & Category Management
  • Contribute to defining category strategies
  • Contribute to market analyses, supplier benchmarks, and cost studies
  • Support teams in preparing and running international tenders
  • Contribute to analyzing supplier performance
  • Conduct analyses to identify cost optimization, operational performance, and process improvement levers
  • Contribute to defining and monitoring the category's OPEX strategy

WHO ARE WE LOOKINGFOR ?

• You are a Bac + 5 student (Business School, Engineering School, or University) specializing in Purchasing, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, or Project Management; a first experience in purchasing, management control, or data analysis is a plus
• You have strong proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, Power Query, data analysis) and PowerPoint, along with knowledge of data analysis and reporting; familiarity with Power BI or other data visualization tools is a plus
• You are fluent in English, both written and spoken
• You are rigorous, analytical, curious, and proactive, with excellent communication skills and a taste for teamwork in an international environment.
