CMA CGM invites a Master 2 student in Operations Research to join the Digital Department as an intern. You will design, refine, and integrate optimization models to boost operational efficiency and reduce carbon footprint across logistics processes.

You will work with teams to understand needs, monitor new methods, and optimize models while building data flows and deploying solutions into real tools used by the group.

Qualifications

• Specialized academic background in Operations Research is mandatory.
• Master 2 in Operations Research is required.
• Strong knowledge of constraint modeling, DAGs and solvers (preferably Cplex).
• Proficiency in C++/Python and Git; AWS/SQL nice to have.

As part of the Digital Department of a transportation group, you will help design, improve, and integrate optimization algorithms that contribute to improving the group's performance and carbon footprint.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

As part of the data science department, you will be responsible for:

• Working with operational teams to understand their needs.
• Monitoring technological developments to find the best solution to a given problem.
• Designing and refining an operational research model.
• Identifying the data needed for these refinements and implementing the data flows.
• Improving algorithm performance.
• Analyzing results and producing reports explaining them.
• Describing the approach and presenting it to operational teams.
• Integrating the model into an operational tool and process.

This internship will allow you to develop your skills in Operations Research, as well as in all related fields (business, IT), through a real use case in the logistics sector.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

A specialized academic background and hands‑on experience in Operations Research are mandatory requirements for this position.

• Education: Student in the second year of a Master's degree (Master 2) specializing in Operations Research.
• Technical skills: Strong knowledge of constraint modeling/programming; directed acyclic graphs; commercial solvers (ideally Cplex); C++ / Python; collaborative development tools (git); algorithm performance optimization.
• Nice to have: Cloud AWS; SQL.
• Languages: Very good level of English (oral and written) is required.
• Personal qualities: Your curiosity, rigor, and analytical skills will help you succeed in this role.
