Qualifications

• Student in the gap year or final year of a master’s degree in Business/Engineering or related field.
• Previous internship experience in finance is preferred.

• Strong work ethic, organisation and multitasking abilities.

Responsabilités

• Track and evaluate companies and identify transaction opportunities.
• Prepare industry and market analyses using major data sources.
• Assist in preparing marketing materials such as pitch books and information memorandums.
• Perform financial analysis including valuation and 3-statement modeling.
• Support in drafting M&A strategy reports (investment strategy, market entry).

The EY SaT Renewables & Infrastructure team is looking for an Intern available January 2027, for a duration of 6 months.

The opportunity

EY Strategy and Transactions (SaT) provides advisory services to small, mid and large cap companies and investment funds on all stages of a transaction.

The EY SaT Renewables & Infrastructure team focuses on the coverage of the infrastructure sector (power and utilities, renewables, transportation, e-mobility) involving the origination, and the execution of M&A transactions as well as Strategic mandates, advising clients which include SMEs, multinational corporations, utilities, infrastructure funds and private equity houses on transactions across the world.

The team is young and dynamic and is growing rapidly. You are expected to have a significant level of direct responsibility of tasks and projects, reporting directly to Partners, Directors, VPs, Associates and Analysts in the team.

Your missions

Track and evaluate companies and identify transaction opportunities such as strategic acquisitions and disposals

• Research and prepare industry and market analysis in various sectors with the help of major search engines (Infralogic, Globaldata, Capital IQ, Refinitiv, Mergermarket, Factiva, ...)
• Assist in the preparation of marketing materials including pitch books and information memorandums
• Financial analysis including valuation (DCF, comparable methods) and 3 statement analysis
• Assist in the preparation of M&A Strategy reports (investment strategy, market entry, target screening)

Your profile

• Student in the gap year or final year of a master’s degree (Business School, Engineering School or University Master)
• Previous internship experience in finance is a requirement
• Strong financial and accounting analytical capabilities and a capacity to learn quickly
• Express an interest in the Energy / Transportation sectors (previous experience not a requirement)
• Strong work ethic, organisation skills and ability to multitask
• Team orientation and a demonstrated ability to work in a rapidly changing, demanding and ultimately rewarding environment
• Strong verbal and writing communication skills
• Fluency in English is required and another language is a plus
