Tepsa Infra in Paris, France, seeks a Business Development Intern to join a PE-backed European leader in midstream storage and energy transition initiatives. You will collaborate with a high-caliber team on strategic initiatives at the intersection of finance, strategy, and energy transition.

You will perform strategic market analysis, contribute to M&A projects, support financial modelling, monitor regulatory and technology developments, and help prepare management presentations.

Qualifications

  • Fluent in English and French is required or highly beneficial.
  • Interest in energy sector and decarbonization trends.
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills for client-facing work.
  • Financial analysis and modelling capabilities and attention to detail.
  • Able to work autonomously and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.

Responsabilités

  • Conduct strategic market analysis on energy applications and growth opportunities.
  • Support M&A projects with strategic, financial, and operational due diligence.
  • Develop and present financial models for greenfield investments and potential deals.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and technology breakthroughs in energy transition.
  • Prepare presentations based on findings and internal documents for management.

Business Development Intern – Tepsa Infra
TERM OF POSITION
1. Company description

Tepsa is a leading European midstream company, operating 15 terminals across France, Spain, The Netherlands with ~600 employees. We provide sustainable bulk liquid storage solutions for industrial clients in chemicals, fuels, biofuels, and agrifood.

Since October 2024, Tepsa is fully owned by I Squared Capital, a global infrastructure private equity fund. Backed by a strong shareholder, Tepsa is accelerating its growth and actively investing in new energy solutions to support the decarbonization of the economy.

As a Business Development Intern, you will join a high-caliber team (ex-consulting, M&A, investment banking) and take part in strategic initiatives at the crossroads of finance, strategy and energy transition.

Your missions will include:

  • Strategic market analysis: explore new energy applications (Hydrogen, Ammonia, CCUS, Biofuels) and identify growth opportunities
  • Transaction support: contribute to M&A projects, including strategic, financial, and operational due diligence.
  • Financial analysis & modelling: support valuation, scenario modelling, and project finance assessments for greenfield investments.
  • Regulatory & technology monitoring: track market dynamics, energy transition policies, and technological breakthroughs.
  • Help prepare presentations based on your findings as well as internal documents for management

You will be exposed to live transactions, strategic decision-making, and the structuring of new investment opportunities in one of the most dynamic sectors of the decade.
