HSBC is seeking a Valuation Controller for Private Markets in Paris, hybrid work model. You will support valuation methodologies for Private Equity and Private Credit, ensure robust controls, and act as the local subject matter expert within the Global Product Control team.

You will collaborate across global teams, interact with internal and external auditors, and contribute to governance improvements while prioritising accuracy in financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience in valuation control for Private Equity and Private Credit.
• Proficient IFRS accounting knowledge; GAAP is a plus.
• Ability to apply judgement on valuation adjustments within governance.

Responsabilités

• Support valuation methodologies and models for Fair Value and Prudent Value.
• Maintain robust control environment and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Ensure alignment with Group methodology and governance.
• Act as HBCE SME for Private Markets valuation and provide governance oversight.
• Coordinate priorities, provide guidance, review outputs, and ensure audit trail.
• Contribute to local and global change initiatives and remediation delivery.
• Engage with Internal Audit, external audit (PwC) and regulators (ECB).
