Job summary

H Company seeks a senior observability lead to own strategy, design, and rollout across all products. You will create a unified view of metrics, logs, traces, and dashboards, surfacing information essential to decision making and product reliability.

You will stay hands-on, define SLAs/SLOs/SLIs with cross‑functional teams, implement end‑to‑end visibility, and drive adoption of instrumentation and standard SDKs across our stack, with a strong focus on scalable, self‑managed observability.

Qualifications

• Led the direction for a substantial engineering observability effort.
• Built production instrumentation and telemetry integrations.
• Defined product- and technical-level SLAs, SLOs and SLIs.
• Applied SRE measurements such as error budgets and MTTR.
• Implemented self-managed observability stacks (OTEL, Prometheus, Grafana).
• Collaborated with Kubernetes at scale and multi-tenant environments.

Responsibilities

• Set one observability strategy across teams and stacks.
• Own the implementation of metrics, logs, traces, alerts, and dashboards.
• Define and ensure compliance with SLAs, SLOs, and SLIs.
• Provide end-to-end visibility of system dependencies with visualisations.
• Automate coverage tracking, reliability metrics, and cost of execution.
