Job summary

A&O IT Group is seeking an on-site AV Support Technician to maintain and troubleshoot corporate AV systems across the office. You will be the primary technical contact for hybrid meetings, town halls, and events, ensuring smooth audio, video, and presentation experiences for all staff.

You will perform pre-event checks, diagnose issues, and provide real-time support during critical meetings while coordinating with IT teams and vendors to keep equipment running reliably.

Qualifications

• Experience operating major enterprise video conferencing platforms and room systems.
• Familiarity with hybrid meeting room workflows and UC setups.
• Hands-on experience with room control systems and signal routing hardware.
• Knowledge of AV over IP, IP addressing, VLAN basics, and PoE as applied to AV.
• Experience with HDMI/DisplayPort/USB-C cabling and standard cabling.

Responsibilities

• Meeting & Event Support: pre-meeting checks and live technical support for town halls and video conferences.
• Troubleshooting & Maintenance: diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and room control issues quickly.
• Daily Room Readiness: sweep meeting rooms and spaces to verify equipment performance and cabling hygiene.
• System Operations: configure display feeds, wireless screen sharing, and central control interfaces.
• Inventory & Vendor Coordination: track AV assets and liaise with vendors and IT teams.
• User Support & Training: assist employees with meeting room tech and create simple guides.
