Mistral.ai in the Paris area is seeking a Datacenter HW Engineer to maintain, troubleshoot, and scale our GPU/CPU clusters. You will perform hands-on hardware work in Bruyères-le-Châtel datacenter and collaborate with hardware owners, DC operations, and vendors to keep one of France’s largest AI clusters healthy.

The role emphasizes diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and documentation, with safety and LOTO discipline, ESD, and clear ticketing.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in datacenter/server hardware and component replacement.
• Strong Linux basics for boot, logs, and troubleshooting.

Responsabilités

• Diagnose and operate core server/cluster components (CPU, memory, drives, NICs, GPUs, PSUs) and interconnects.
• Apply lockout/tagout (LOTO) and ESD discipline; follow checklists and maintain safe work areas.
• Perform first-line diagnostics using LEDs, POST codes, and basic tests; document findings.
