IXO seeks a researcher to tackle mathematically demanding holographic problems, focusing on AdS/CFT, gravitational actions, and gauge choices. The role requires careful tensor analysis and precise written communication.

The specialist will analyze on-shell actions, boundary-curvature invariants up to eight dimensions, and Weyl anomalies, recording checks and defensible conclusions. Remote work with flexible scheduling is offered.

This IXO track focuses on technically demanding mathematical-physics reasoning. Work involves holographic methods and gravitational calculations in which gauge choices, tensor expressions and curvature terms must support a consistent final argument.

Work you will do

• Analyze AdS/CFT problems involving on-shell gravitational actions and Weyl–Fefferman–Graham gauge frameworks.
• Derive or check tensor-algebra expressions for boundary-curvature invariants, including dimensions up to eight.
• Develop solutions or review competing treatments of holographic Weyl anomalies, recording the steps needed to assess correctness.
• Communicate technical conclusions precisely, distinguishing a methodological defect from a difference in presentation or convention.

Preferred background

• Advanced high-energy or mathematical-physics expertise with direct work on AdS/CFT, gravitational actions and holographic dualities.
• Extensive familiarity with Weyl anomalies, Fefferman–Graham expansions and higher-dimensional boundary-curvature invariants.
• Strong tensor algebra, differential geometry and the mathematical tools used in holographic research.
• Ability to explain advanced scientific reasoning clearly in writing and discussion.

Deliverables

A research-level solution, audit or adjudication that records conventions, intermediate checks and a defensible conclusion.

Location and schedule

Remote; assignment type reflects subfield expertise and proven methods experience. Assignment scope, availability and timing are agreed before work; there is no fixed weekly volume or duration.

Pay and working terms

$85 $170/hr USD. IXO will agree the assignment scope, hourly rate, schedule and acceptance criteria before work begins.
