Intermountain Health in Denver, CO is seeking a part-time Security Officer to protect patients, visitors, staff and property. You will monitor cameras and alarms, de-escalate incidents, respond to emergencies, conduct searches, and participate in drills, with a focus on safety and HIPAA compliance.

The position is 32 hours per week with an hourly wage range of $20.45 to $27.04 and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Current Driver’s License if driving is required.
• Current Basic Life Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers or willing to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Montana location note: Security Guard Licensure required within 120 days of hire, if applicable.

Responsabilités

• Operates and monitors security technology systems, including surveillance cameras, access control systems, and alarm systems.
• De-escalation: use verbal and non-verbal strategies to calm individuals and resolve conflicts.
• Dealing with Violent Patients: intervene to protect safety, including using physical restraints when necessary.
• Regulatory Compliance: ensure compliance with regulations such as HIPAA when reporting crimes or incidents.
• Bomb Threat/Suspicious Package Responses: respond following protocols to ensure safety.
• Participation in Drills: engage in infant abduction and active shooter drills.
• Conducting Searches: perform safe searches of patients and searches for narcotics.
• Safety Inspections: inspect walking surfaces, fire extinguishers, and overall facility safety.
• Parking Enforcement: enforce parking regulations to ensure safety and accessibility.
• Investigations: collaborate with HR and law enforcement to conduct investigations.
