Job summary

Upway is seeking its first Head of People to partner with the founders and leadership team in building and scaling the People function. This role sits on the leadership team and will guide strategy on talent, org design, and employee experience across Paris and international markets.

The Head of People will drive initiatives across recruiting, performance, people analytics, and policies, balancing pragmatic actions with bold, strategic decisions to support rapid growth.

Qualifications

• Built and scaled a People function from scratch or through a major inflection point (hypergrowth, international expansion).
• Partnered directly with founders/executives in high-intensity contexts with rigor and pace.
• Operated across multiple countries balancing global principles with local compliance.

Responsibilities

• Partner with founders and leaders on People strategy and org design.
• Own the talent acquisition strategy end-to-end and raise hiring standards.
• Build scalable recruiting infrastructure and define success metrics.
