Job summary

Harmattan AI, based in Paris, France, seeks a Group Cost Controller to own industrial and R&D costing, build the industrial P&L, and deliver transparent cost performance insights for multiple entities.

The role blends hands-on analysis with structuring tasks including budgeting, forecasting, KPI definition, and ERP-related initiatives to ensure reliable inventory tracking. Fluency in French and English is essential.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Finance, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
• 5–8 years in cost or industrial controlling within manufacturing or complex production environments.
• Advanced Excel and financial modelling; familiarity with BOMs, standard costs and variance analysis.
• Autonomous, structured, and able to build a controlling framework from scratch in a fast-moving environment.
• Fluent in French and English; strong business partnering and shop-floor communication.

Responsibilities

• Build the industrial P&L and the costing framework; set up standard cost calculation methodologies and performance tracking.
• Monitor production costs, inventory levels and variances; identify deviations early and drive corrective actions with operations.
• Run monthly closings, business reviews, forecasts and budgets for the industrial scope.
• Contribute to the Odoo implementation; ensure inventory is tracked reliably and outputs are available to the business.
• Drive cost visibility and optimization beyond the plant across R&D and other operating costs.
