Job summary

Harmattan AI in France seeks a Group Cost Controller to own industrial and R&D costing, develop P&L structures, and drive cost performance across entities.

You will partner with FP&A to build standard costing, manage monthly closings, budgets, forecasts, and ensure accurate inventory tracking through an ERP implementation (Odoo). Fluent in French and English; 5–8 years of cost experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years in cost or industrial controlling within manufacturing or a complex production environment.
• Expert-level Excel and strong financial modelling skills; ERP experience with BOMs, standard costs and variance analysis.
• Fluent in French and English.

Responsibilities

• Build the industrial P&L and the costing framework; define standard cost calculation methodology and set up performance tracking processes.
• Monitor production costs, inventory levels and variances, identify deviations early, and work with operations to close them.
• Run monthly closings, business reviews, forecasts and budgets for the industrial scope.
• Contribute to the Odoo implementation; ensure inventory is tracked reliably in the system and outputs meet business needs.
• Drive cost visibility and optimization beyond the plant by tracking R&D and project costs and leading cost optimization initiatives across other costs.
