Viridien is seeking an entry-level Imaging specialist in France to develop scientific skills in a commercial setting. You will process seismic data to generate high-resolution subsurface images and models for energy sector clients, while learning signal processing, modelling and imaging with a diverse team.
You will work on fitting workflows, collaborating with colleagues and clients, and contributing to challenging projects across multiple deadlines in a dynamic environment.
Viridien (www.viridiengroup.com) is an advanced technology, digital and Earth data company that pushes the boundaries of science for a more prosperous and sustainable future. With our ingenuity, drive and deep curiosity we discover new insights, innovations, and solutions that efficiently and responsibly resolve complex natural resource, digital, energy transition and infrastructure challenges.
This entry-level role is for physicists, geophysicists or mathematicians looking for a career where they can continue to develop their scientific skills and knowledge in a commercial environment where their work will have real-world impacts. Our Imaging specialists process huge volumes of seismic data through complex signal processing, modelling and imaging workflows to generate high resolution subsurface images and models primarily for clients in the energy industry.
We are a diverse and dynamic group of close to hundreds of geophysicists, research and operation, based in France with strong relation with our colleagues sitting across various regions such as UK, Singapore, Brazil, US. We are using the latest signal processing, modelling and imaging techniques and among the most advanced compute facilities in the world to build high-resolution 3D images and models of subsurface structure. Beyond imaging, we transform seismic data into quantitative rock-property models, helping our clients better understand subsurface characteristics and make informed decisions. You can expect to develop expertise in the fields of signal processing, modelling and imaging; and gain awareness of wider developments in the fields of geoscience and data science.
