Job summary

CGG SA recrute un(e) jeune diplômé(e) en physique, géophysique ou mathématiques, avec 0–2 ans d'expérience, pour un poste CDI en Essonne (Île-de-France).

Vous développerez vos compétences en traitement du signal, modélisation et imagerie sismique, et contribuerez à des projets clients dans le secteur énergie, avec des possibilités de formation et d'évolution.

Qualifications

• Master ou Doctorat en Physique, Géophysique ou Mathématiques avec 0–2 ans d'expérience.
• Esprit analytique et capacité à résoudre des problèmes complexes.
• Capacité à communiquer des concepts techniques.
• Désir d'apprendre et d'appliquer les connaissances à l'industrie.

Responsibilities

• Traiter et analyser des données sismiques pour produire des images 3D du subsurface.
• Tester et optimiser les flux de travail d'imagerie pour précision et performance.
• Entretenir des relations clients grâce à l'excellence du service.
• Gérer des projets techniques complexes avec des échéances.
• Collaborer avec l'équipe et les clients.

Mission

Job Summary

This entry-level role is for physicists, geophysicists or mathematicians looking for a career where they can continue to develop their scientific skills and knowledge in a commercial environment where their work will have real‑world impacts.

Our Imaging specialists process huge volumes of seismic data through complex signal processing, modelling and imaging workflows to generate high resolution subsurface images and models primarily for clients in the energy industry.

About the team

We are a diverse and dynamic group of close to hundreds of geophysicists, research and operation, based in France with strong relation with our colleagues sitting across various regions such as UK, Singapore, Brazil, US.

We are using the latest signal processing, modelling and imaging techniques and among the most advanced compute facilities in the world to build high-resolution 3D images and models of subsurface structure. Beyond imaging, we transform seismic data into quantitative rock-property models, helping our clients better understand subsurface characteristics and make informed decisions.

You can expect to develop expertise in the fields of signal processing, modelling and imaging; and gain awareness of wider developments in the fields of geoscience and data science.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and analyze seismic data to produce accurate 3D subsurface images
• Test and optimize workflows to improve imaging accuracy, computational performance, and data quality
• Building and maintaining long‑term client relationships through service excellence
• Management of complex technical projects with multiple short‑and long‑term deadlines
• Effective communication and collaboration with team members and clients
• Cultural awareness through training and interaction with our globally diverse clients and teams
• Later in your career, leadership and management skills enabling you to contribute to the development of others; and opportunities to publish papers and present at industry conferences

Qualifications

Required

• Fresh graduates with Master's degree or PhD degree in any of the following disciplines: Physics, Geophysics or Mathematics with 0-2 years of professional experience
• Analytical approach to problem solving
• Technical knowledge in an area of applied mathematics or physics
• Enthusiastic attitude towards learning and passion for your subject
• The technical agility to adapt your existing knowledge to a new field
• Ability to communicate technical concepts

Preferred

• Knowledge of geophysics or geology appreciated but not required
