CMA CGM Group in Marseille is seeking an Area Manager to optimise pricing policy for the assigned zone and act as the primary contact for CMA CGM agents worldwide.

Reporting to Commercial Line Manager, you will implement commercial and pricing policies, manage quotations, analyse budget variances, and support marketing activities with market studies. The role is based in a dynamic, global shipping and logistics environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in International Business, Management or Supply Chain.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.
• Commercial or client-facing experience.
• Knowledge of Incoterms and international logistics.
• International experience or multicultural background.

Responsabilités

• Implement the commercial and pricing policy for your zone in line with the directives of the Market Manager and Line Manager.
• Process all quotation requests from your agents.
• Analyse performance and variances against budget in order to propose corrective actions.
• Oversee marketing activity as a true expert on your zone: market studies, statistics.
• Regularly report performance indicators to line management.

At the heart of the maritime line, the Area Manager optimises the pricing policy for their geographic zone and acts as the primary point of contact for CMA CGM agents around the world.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

• Implement the commercial and pricing policy for your zone in line with the directives of the Market Manager and Line Manager
• Process all quotation requests from your agents
• Analyse performance and variances against budget in order to propose corrective actions
• Oversee marketing activity as a true expert on your zone: market studies, statistics
• Regularly report performance indicators to line management

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Required

• Master’s degree (Bac+5) in International Business, Business, Management or Supply Chain
• Fluent English, written and spoken
• Genuine commercial drive — enjoyment of negotiation
• Proficient in Excel: pivot tables, advanced formulas, databases
• Commercial or client-facing experience (internship, association, other)
• Knowledge of Incoterms and international logistics
• Second language: Arabic, Mandarin, Spanish, Portuguese
• International experience or multicultural background
