Job summary

Pernod Ricard is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel – Global Litigation to join the Global Markets Legal Team in Paris. The role provides strategic support on major disputes across geographies, coordinating with local teams, external counsel and senior management to drive consistent litigation strategies and robust risk reporting.

You will lead dispute prevention initiatives, oversee governance of the Global Litigation Report, and ensure effective management of post-closing disputes, with a view to

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in international dispute resolution, litigation or contentious regulatory matters.
• Experience managing cross-border litigation and coordinating external counsel across jurisdictions.
• Strong litigation strategy, dispute prevention and management capabilities.
• Excellent judgement to assess legal, financial and reputational risks.
• Executive communication skills for concise reporting to senior management.
• Fluency in English and French, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Act as central legal coordinator for significant litigation, arbitration and contentious matters.
• Provide strategic legal advice and litigation support to affiliates and management on high-risk disputes.
• Coordinate and oversee M&A-related litigation with cross-functional teams and external counsel.
• Develop and implement coherent litigation strategies with local teams and external counsel.
• Monitor progress of major matters and escalate risks to senior leadership.
• Oversee quarterly Group Litigation reporting and management presentations.
• Manage relationships with external counsel and optimize billing and fees.
