Ebury is seeking an enthusiastic Associate Legal Counsel to join our Leon office on a hybrid pattern (4 days in the office, 1 day remote). You will support the in-house legal team across finance, corporate and commercial matters with exposure to cross-border work in multiple jurisdictions.

The ideal candidate holds a law degree and a Masters in law, is a fully qualified lawyer, and demonstrates excellent communication, research and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Degree and Masters in law; fully qualified lawyer.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Experience in a law firm or in-house legal team is a plus.
• Strong research, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• A proactive team player who collaborates well with others.

Responsibilities

• Support core legal team with review of internal and client queries and advise stakeholders on legal matters.
• Draft and review NDAs, engagement letters and third-party service agreements.
• Draft and review documents supporting governance, business and operations.
• Assist with negotiating and reviewing finance and commercial agreements.
• Contribute to product design and expansion into new markets.
• Research legal and regulatory developments.
• Prepare template documents, procedures, playbooks and training materials.
• Monitor implementation of legal procedures and manage documentation.
• Support legal operations with invoice and expense tracking.
