Bonhams is seeking a Post-Sale Buyer Coordinator to safeguard the financial health of the business while maintaining strong client relationships. You will oversee collection of buyer payments from a portfolio of luxury sales and liaise with clients worldwide.

The role requires excellent English, numeracy, and the ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment; weekend work and occasional travel to European offices may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Buyer Account role or in the Auction Industry.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and oral.
• Numerate with strong spoken and written English.
• Proficient with Word and Excel.
• Strong time management in a high-pressure environment.
• Detail-oriented, organized and discreet.
• Team player with a high level of confidentiality.

Responsabilités

• Review bids pre-sale and verify client history and references.
• Collect payments for a portfolio of sales and chase outstanding amounts.
• Monitor aged debt and resolve outstanding balances.
• Ensure KYC and compliance for bidders.
• Communicate third-party payment terms per T&Cs and manage cases.
• Post wire transfers and reconcile daybooks for the UK; support FR/BE reconciliations.
• Identify bad debt risks and contact restricted buyers.
• Process non-standard aftersales, refunds and sundry invoices.
• Handle inquiries from clients and colleagues professionally.
• Support Client Service and Credit Control teams; manage overdue settlements.
• Liaise with Sale Liaisons and Expert Departments; assist global Bonhams Group.
• Occasional weekend work and attendance at offsite sales.
• Maintain security and confidentiality of client information.
