Jobtailor in France seeks a self-sufficient General Accountant to manage the full accounting cycle including general ledger, AR, AP, bank reconciliations, VAT returns, and monthly closings. You will monitor tax obligations and customs declarations for international activities, prepare audit documentation, and drive process improvements in invoicing and paperless tools.

Qualifications

• Self-sufficient General Accountant.
• Experience and autonomy in general ledger, AR, and AP.
• Proficiency in bank reconciliations and account substantiation.
• Experience monitoring fixed assets and preparing monthly closings.
• Knowledge of preparing VAT returns and monitoring ongoing tax compliance obligations.
• Knowledge of customs declarations and formalities related to international business activities.
• Ability to meet accounting, tax, and administrative deadlines.
• Experience preparing documentation for statutory auditors.
• Ability to contribute to the improvement of accounting and invoicing processes.
• For an independent contractor arrangement: must be a certified public accountant registered with the relevant professional body.
