Mistral AI in Paris is seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to support GDPR compliance strategy and draft compliance documentation for product and engineering teams. The legal team across Paris and Palo Alto handles regulatory, IP, contracts and corporate matters and collaborates closely with product and engineering teams to ensure privacy by design.

You will advise other teams on privacy topics, implement processes, and help continuously improve our privacy program in a fast-growing AI

Qualifications

• Master degree in law
• Bar admission is a plus
• 3 to 5 years of experience in a law firm or in a tech company in IT law/privacy law/GDPR

Responsabilités

• Manage Mistral AI’s compliance documentation (records of processing of personal data, DPIAs, internal policies, etc.)
• Answer and manage data subject requests; implement GDPR processes and automation
• Manage employee training on privacy topics
• Negotiate DPAs with providers and customers
• Monitor privacy regulations and supervisory authorities guidance or decisions
• Advise the product team on privacy topics concerning new features
• Answer privacy-related questions from other teams
• Update the compliance documentation accordingly
