SMBC Group in Paris is offering a 6-month analyst intern opportunity in Export and Development Solutions. The role supports origination, financial analysis, due diligence and marketing for ECA/DFI-backed mandates in the EMEA region.

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, producing credit applications in English and marketing materials in English or French. Strong English/French skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Support the origination and execution of ongoing and new mandates where one of our partner ECAs or Development Agencies is involved in the EMEA region.
• Review and analyse information including customer financial statements, financial models, due diligence and legal documentation.
• Assist in monitoring the existing portfolio of the team’s deals, including handling a number of ECA Agency mandates and supporting distribution activities.
• Prepare customized marketing materials (in English or in French) and financing proposals in line with SMBC policies.
• Write internal credit applications in English.
• Assist with internal reporting.
