This freelance Analytics Engineer role bridges the current engineer and successor, ensuring two scopes—business marts and regulatory reporting—stay reliable during the handover. You will design, build and maintain marts for payments and onboarding, run and evolve

Qualifications

• 5+ years in analytics engineering or data engineering roles.
• Own production models end to end and run them in production.
• Excellent SQL and Snowflake proficiency.
• Strong dbt experience: macros, tests, incremental models.
• Clear communication with non-technical stakeholders in English.
• Experience developing with AI tools as part of daily workflow.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain marts for payments, onboarding and other core domains, working closely with product and tech teams.
• Run the Regulatory Reporting models day to day: monitor runs, fix failures, ensure reports are accurate and timely.
• Evolve regulatory models as requirements change without breaking existing reports.
• Guarantee consistency: reconcile figures across regulatory reports, business marts and source systems.
• Maintain high modelling standards: clear grain, explicit keys, tests on every model, and thorough documentation.
• Collaborate daily with the Data team, software engineers, compliance and business stakeholders.
• Keep documentation current to enable a smooth handover to the next Analytics Engineer.
