Back Market in Paris, France, is seeking a Fraud and Risk Officer Intern to join our Finance team. You will evaluate high-risk transactions, monitor fraud trends, and help defend against chargebacks while ensuring a smooth experience for our customers.

The ideal candidate is a Finance student, eager to learn, detail-oriented, and fluent in English; additional languages considered a bonus. This 6-month, full-time internship starts January 2027 and offers hands-on exposure to ecommerce fraud

Qualifications

English required; additional languages a bonus.
Investigator mindset with strong attention to detail.
Confidentiality and integrity essential for fraud roles.
Proficient in data analysis using Excel.

Responsabilités

Evaluate and monitor high-risk transactions for potential fraud.
Report on Fraud statistics and trends to improve detection rates.
Defend chargebacks on behalf of Back Market and suspend accounts when needed.
Resolve customer fraud-related emails and disputes in claims inquiries.
Collaborate with Customer Support to minimize friction for customers while managing risks.
Analyze fraud and payment data to identify vulnerabilities and take actions.
