Back Market is seeking a Fraud and Risk Officer Intern to assess fraud risks and support prevention on the platform. The role collaborates with the finance team to manage fraud exposure while protecting customers and maintaining efficient services.

Starting January 2027 for a 6-month, full-time internship (35H/week) based in Paris, France, with a French school internship agreement and a monthly compensation of €1.2K–€1.4K.

Qualifications

• Student in Finance (or equivalent)
• 6-month internship
• English is a must (fully professional)
• Investigative mind and highly detail-oriented
• Strong sense of confidentiality and integrity
• Data-oriented and comfortable using Excel
• Experience in fraud prevention and/or e-commerce is a plus

Responsabilités

• Evaluate and monitor high-risk transactions for potential fraud
• Report on fraud statistics and trends to improve detection
• Suspend accounts as appropriate or lift suspensions after appeals
• Resolve customer fraud-related emails and disputes
• Collaborate with internal Customer Support to minimize friction for customers
• Analyze fraud and payment data to identify vulnerabilities and take action
