Airswift is seeking an FPSO Topsides structure - Weight Control Engineer for a 1-year (+ multi-year) residential role in Paris, France, supporting an ultra-deepwater FPSO development. The focus is on topside structural integrity and weight control across EPSCC phases, with exposure to design reviews and cross-functional interfaces.

You will monitor and review contractor work, track CG evolution, participate in design reviews including HAZID/HAZOP, and ensure compliance with API, Eurocodes, ISO

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–10 years offshore structural engineering experience.
• Experience in FPSO topside design and weight control.
• Client-side roles within EPSCC project environments.

Responsabilités

• Monitor and validate structural design and weight control activities carried out by contractors and vendors.
• Review structural drawings, calculation notes, FEM analyses, and lifting or marine operation reports.
• Track weight data and centre of gravity evolution using weight control tools and registers.
• Support management of technical interfaces and compliance with project specifications.
• Participate in multidisciplinary design reviews, including model reviews and HAZID/HAZOP sessions.
• Coordinate with process, layout, piping and marine teams to maintain alignment on structural and weight matters.
• Interface with contractors and subcontractors to support constructability and compliance with structural and weight requirements.
• Assist with management of deviations, engineering changes and anomaly reporting related to topside structure and weight control.
• Contribute to traceability and consistency of structural and weight-related decisions through engineering phases.
• Promote compliance with applicable safety instructions and company HSE rules in all activities.

Job Title: FPSO Topsides structure - Weight Control Engineer Services Duration: 1 year + (Multi year) Schedule: Residential Location: Paris, France This opportunity supports an ultra-deepwater FPSO development within the offshore energy sector, focused on topside structural integrity and weight control across EPSCC phases. The role offers involvement in a technically demanding international project environment, with exposure to structural design review, weight monitoring and centre of gravity control. This position will contribute to safe, compliant and consistent engineering delivery across multidisciplinary interfaces.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and validate structural design and weight control activities carried out by contractors and vendors.
• Review structural drawings, calculation notes, FEM analyses, and lifting or marine operation reports.
• Track and validate weight data and centre of gravity evolution using dedicated weight control tools and registers.
• Support management of technical interfaces and compliance with project specifications.

Required Education & Certifications:

• Degree in Structural Engineering, Naval Architecture, or Mechanical Engineering.

Required Experience:

• Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience in offshore structural engineering.
• Experience in FPSO topside design and weight control.
• Experience working in client-side roles within EPSCC project environments.

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in structural analysis tools and weight control systems.
• Familiarity with international standards including API, Eurocodes, ISO, and marine classification rules.
• Strong coordination and communication skills within a multidisciplinary and multicultural project environment.
