Airswift is seeking a Project Fabrication Management Engineer in Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, France for a 12-month, on-site assignment. You will support fabrication management activities for offshore projects focusing on subsea structures, piping, and yard execution.

Job Details

Job Title: Project Fabrication Management Engineer

Duration: 12 months

Schedule: On-site

Location: Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, France (On-site)

This opportunity supports fabrication management activities within an offshore Oil & Gas project environment, with a focus on subsea structures, piping systems and fabrication yard execution. The role will work across engineering, procurement, quality, operations, vendors and fabrication functions, helping to coordinate technical activities and support delivery performance. This position offers exposure to fabrication procedures, construction work packs, material management and interface coordination in a technically demanding setting.

Required Education

Engineering degree in Mechanical, Structural or equivalent discipline.

Required Experience

• Proven experience in offshore Oil & Gas fabrication projects involving subsea structures such as PLETs, PLEMs, mudmats, manifolds and associated steel structures, as well as piping systems and fabrication yard execution.
• Experience working with fabrication yards, vendors and subcontractors throughout project execution.
• Experience coordinating interfaces between Engineering, Procurement, Quality, Operations, Vendors and Fabrication functions.
• Experience monitoring and coordinating company-provided items.

Required Skills

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, fabrication procedures and construction work packs.
• Knowledge of material management processes, including MTO review, material availability monitoring, technical substitutions, concessions and deviations.
• Understanding of welding and fabrication requirements, including WPS, PQR, welder qualifications and NDT methods.
• Familiarity with fabrication methodologies, construction sequences, workfront planning and constructability principles.
• Knowledge of applicable fabrication codes and standards, including AWS D1.1 or equivalent, ASME B31.3 and relevant offshore industry standards.
• Ability to review and coordinate technical queries, engineering changes, field modifications and fabrication-related engineering clarifications.
• Ability to assess the impact of fabrication issues on cost, schedule and fabrication performance and support mitigation and recovery actions.
• Familiarity with NCR, MOC, risk management and lessons learned processes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Project.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.
• Strong coordination and interface management skills with effective communication and stakeholder engagement capability.
• Structured approach to problem solving, issue resolution, planning, risk identification and execution support.
• Ability to work effectively within multicultural and geographically dispersed project teams.

Required Certifications

• Valid BOSIET (Required).
• Valid MFC (Required).
• Valid Seaman Book (Required).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience coordinating multiple fabrication packages and fabrication yards simultaneously.
• Experience with load-out, sea fastening, transportation and installation interfaces.
• Familiarity with fabrication cost control principles, progress measurement methodologies and KPI monitoring.
• Experience with construction feasibility analyses and fabrication readiness reviews.
• Experience supporting fabrication dossier compilation, handover and project close-out activities.
• Experience supporting fabrication tendering activities, technical bid evaluations and subcontractor qualification processes.
• Knowledge of fabrication constructability reviews and workfront analysis methodologies.
• Familiarity with vendor management coordination.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and Navisworks.
• Familiarity with Primavera P6.
