Rivercell is seeking an FP&A Manager to build and run the financial backbone as we scale from a small team to an industrial-grade biology data platform. You will partner with the COO, own your scope end to end, and implement the processes needed to operate cleanly as headcount and capex grow.
Responsibilities include owning the business plan and rolling forecast, financial reporting, developing models for strategic decisions, and supporting governance and investor reporting.
We are looking for an FP&A Manager to build and run the financial backbone of Rivercell as we scale from a small team to an industrial-grade biology data platform.
You will work hand-in-hand with our COO, own your scope end to end, and put in place the processes that a company multiplying its headcount and its capital expenditure needs to operate cleanly.
Own our business plan and rolling forecast: headcount, R&D, marketing and G&A spend, capital expenditure on lab and production equipment, unit economics of our data generation activity
Own the financial reporting
Build the models behind our strategic decisions; production capacity roll-out, pricing
Manage day-to-day finance operations and run monthly and annual closings in coordination with our external accountant
Keep our accounting tooling clean and automated as volumes grow
Support to fundraising and non-dilutive funding work: CIR, Bpifrance and France 2030 schemes, European programmes
Build the budgets behind grant applications, and handle cost justification, reporting and audits once funding is secured
Support the preparation of our board materials: financial packs, KPI dashboards, budget-versus-actual analysis, and the supporting narrative
Support the recurring investor reporting cycle and ad hoc requests
Maintain our data room and internal reporting infrastructure
Help us put in place and run the governance routines the company needs
Coordinate with our corporate lawyers on board and shareholder resolutions, share issuances, cap table and BSPCE plan administration
Manage general corporate compliance as the company grows
You will work hand-in-hand with our COO and an interdisciplinary team (genetic engineering, AI & software, bio-laboratory automation) and be an integral part of an ambitious and exciting French startup project.

You have a business or engineering degree from a top schoolYou have 3+ years of experience in audit, transaction services, financial consulting or strategy consulting from a recognised firm, or in finance at a fast-growing startupYou are rigorous and excellent with numbers and with the tools; you build models that are clean and auditableYou are an autonomous, committed, enthusiastic person with a "can-do", creative, and challenging mindsetYou have excellent communication skills and are fluent in French and English
