Job summary

Gama Space in Ivry-sur-Seine seeks a Layout Engineer to turn power electronics designs into flight-ready PCBs, owning the layout end-to-end from placement to fabrication outputs.

You'll design high-current power PCBs and mixed-signal boards, manage libraries and stackups, and collaborate with manufacturers to ensure DFM/DFA during fabrication and assembly. English proficiency required.

Qualifications

• MSc or equivalent in electrical engineering with 5+ years PCB layout experience.
• Proficient in KiCad; willingness to learn Altium/other tools.
• Understanding of power electronics layout constraints: switching loops, thermal, creepage.
• EMC-driven layout knowledge: grounding, return paths, filtering, shielding.
• Knowledge of fabrication/assembly: stackups, heavy copper, vias.
• Strong analytical skills, proactive attitude, good interpersonal skills.
• Ability to own the scope end-to-end.
• Professional English; additional languages welcome.

Responsibilities

• Design power PCBs: high-current layout, heavy copper, busbars, EMC-driven layout.
• Lay out mixed-signal boards with clean grounding.
• Own the layout flow: library/footprints, stackup, rules, fabrication outputs.
• Collaborate with PCB manufacturers for DFM/DFA reviews.
• Support prototype bring-up and EMC testing.
