Gama Space in Ivry-sur-Seine near Paris is seeking a Senior Power Test Engineer to build the test infrastructure for flight qualification of batteries and power electronics.

You will design benches, automate them, and run qualification campaigns including environmental tests, cycling, and high-current safety. Join a small, hands-on team with equity and growth opportunities in the European space sector.

Qualifications

• MSc or equivalent in electrical/electronics.
• 5+ years hands-on test engineering experience.
• Experience testing batteries or power electronics.
• Test automation and scripting (Python or similar).
• Solid electronics fundamentals and safety practices.

Responsabilités

• Design and build test benches for battery cells, packs, BMS subsystems, and power converters.
• Automate test benches: sequencing, instrument control, data acquisition and processing.
• Implement mission-representative test scenarios on benches (orbital charge/discharge, eclipse cycling, thermal environments).
• Define and run qualification campaigns: environmental testing and functional verification.
• Operate and develop the in-house cell testing laboratory with cyclers, thermal chambers, and safety infra.
