Gama, a NewSpace startup based in Ivry-sur-Seine near Paris, seeks a Layout Engineer to turn power electronics designs into flight-ready PCBs. You will own the layout end-to-end from component placement to fabrication outputs.

Responsibilities include high-current power PCB design, mixed-signal layout, and coordinating with manufacturers for DFM/DFA reviews. 5+ years in PCB layout and mastery of KiCad or Altium are essential.

Qualifications

• MSc or equivalent in electrical engineering with 5+ years PCB layout experience.
• Proficient in KiCad; strong experience with Altium or similar tools.
• Understanding of power electronics layout constraints including loops and thermal management.
• EMC-driven layout knowledge: grounding, return paths, and shielding.
• Experience with PCB fabrication and assembly processes: stackups, heavy copper, vias.

Responsabilités

• Design power PCBs with high-current layouts and heavy copper.
• Lay out mixed-signal boards with clean grounding and partitioning.
• Own the layout flow: libraries, stackups, DRCs, Gerbers and drawings.
• Collaborate with PCB manufacturers for DFM/DFA reviews.
• Support prototype bring-up and EMC testing, feeding lessons back into layout practices.
