Job summary

AB Energy France S.a.r.l. is seeking a Field Service Technician for the Rennes area to perform regular services, diagnose, and adjust client assets to optimize performance.

You will troubleshoot electrical problems, including generator sets, and maintain equipment at client sites. The role requires 3–5 years of maintenance experience, knowledge of drawings, and willingness to travel up to 10 nights per month.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to troubleshoot and resolve electrical problems, including generator sets and balance of plant equipment.
• Maintain, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair OEM equipment at client sites.
• Prepare Field Service reports and submit weekly expenses to the SAM or alternate.
• Assist SAM in estimating parts and labour requirements for repairs.
• Ensure plant upkeep and correct operation, keeping the site clean and organized.

YOUR CHALLENGES

In this role, the Field Technician will carry out regular services, diagnosis and adjustments of client’s assets to achieve optimum performance.

• Provide technical support to troubleshoot and resolve electrical problems; including but not limited to generator set and balance of plant equipment.


• Maintain, analyze, assess, diagnose, troubleshoot and repair various OEM scope as installed at client sites


• Perform Minor and Major Overhaul.


• Assist the Service Area Manager (SAM) establish parts and labour estimates required for equipment and system repairs.


• Maintain, establish and identify Service vehicle tooling/parts/etc. requirements.


• Provide technical expertise to the SAM or alternate.


• Complete detailed Field Service’s Report before leaving a client site and submit expenses weekly to the SAM or his alternate.


• Proactively prepare materials list for preventative and corrective work


• Proactively review assigned materials necessary for maintenance actions, informing the SAM/purchasing if further materials are required


• Reference point for the client, assure the continuous and correct operation of the plant


• Take care of the plant, assuring that the plant is kept in clean and tidy condition

• Good knowledge of electrical and mechanical drawing


• Good knowledge of human-machine devices such as PLCs, inverters, transducers, digital and analog signals (e.g., 4-20 mA and 0-10 V)
