Prysmian is seeking a researcher for the R&D Optical Fiber unit in Douvrin, France, to design and measure new products at Europe’s largest optical fiber plant. You will develop measurement techniques for multi-core and PANDA fibers and support next-generation fiber development and processes.

Qualifications

• MSc or Engineer Diploma; PhD considered a plus.

Responsabilités

• Define, develop and qualify new measurement strategies for new products.
• Develop analytical tools to support measurements developments.
• Model propagation characteristics of fibers and their impacts on performance for applications.
• Collaborate with modeling and process experts.
• Define items for the optical fiber development roadmap.
• Provide technical support to Process Control, Operations, Sales and Quality teams.
