Job summary

Sourceability is seeking an Excess Buyer to join our EMEA Purchasing Team, with hybrid/remote options across Europe, preferably based in France. You will negotiate with OEM/OCM suppliers, place POs, and grow the supplier base while managing relationships across France and French-speaking markets.

Role spans junior to senior levels, with a focus on strategic sourcing, inventory management, and collaboration with sales to reduce excess inventory and optimize delivery schedules.

Qualifications

• Native-level fluency in French, written and spoken, plus professional English.
• Strong negotiation skills with track record of cost savings.
• Clear written and verbal communication with internal teams and suppliers.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Able to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Procure electronic components in line with supply chain strategy and policies.
• Negotiate with suppliers on pricing, quantities, delivery schedules and exclusive deals.
• Build and manage supplier relationships across France and French-speaking markets.
• Manage excess inventory lists and expand supplier base with sales to reduce excess inventory.
• Drive strategic sourcing based on part commodities and OEM/OCM applications.
• Qualify new suppliers and maintain accurate supplier profiles in CRM.
• Monitor supplier on-time delivery and ratings.
• Join weekly calls with sales to share feedback and drive improvement.
• Cover RFQs and VRFs using internal and external tools; keep VQs updated.
• Place and follow up purchase orders; resolve quality issues.
