Job summary

Prysmian Group is seeking a Raw Material Commodity Buyer to join our European team, based in France. You will own procurement strategy for key raw material commodities and manage a multimillion-euro spend across several countries.

You will lead supplier negotiations, develop regional strategies aligned with HQ direction, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize cost, quality, sustainability, and reliability while maintaining master data integrity.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain.
• Experience with market intelligence and cost-improvement initiatives.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with diverse stakeholders.
• Self-driven and results-oriented with multi-priority management.
• Experience in a matrix organization is an advantage.
• Fluency in English is required.

Responsibilities

• Own procurement strategy for key raw material commodities and manage a 20–30M EUR spend across 6 countries.
• Lead allocation processes with Logistics to secure cost advantages.
• Develop and execute regional commodity strategies aligned with HQ and Regional Manager.
• Shape the supplier base to deliver cost, quality, sustainability and reliability.
• Drive multi-country commodity projects informed by plant needs and market analysis.
• Lead supplier negotiations, tenders, contracts and long-term agreements to maximize value.
• Evaluate supplier performance across sustainability, delivery, quality, risk, and overall health.
• Align demand with suppliers through forecasting and planning.
• Maintain high-quality purchasing master data and oversee pricing management and contract renewals.
