Maersk is seeking a Solution Design Engineer to help establish Contract Logistics capabilities in Europe. You will drive growth through strong analytical design of warehouse and cold-store proposals for local sales teams.

You'll build market and product knowledge, share best practices across Europe, and collaborate in a fast-paced, multi-cultural environment, with onsite presence in Paris, Lille, Marseille or Denain.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in International Supply Chains with strong understanding of the value drivers of supply chain and how that can help customers deliver value to their business.
• Customer-focused with a data-driven approach and ability to translate data into actionable solutions and plans.
• Strong Contract Logistics operational background with extensive knowledge of warehousing technologies and pan-European trade/regulatory/compliance requirements and tech solutions.
• Numerate, financially astute and analytical with strong knowledge of logistics processes and solution design methodologies.
• Solid technology skills including a comprehensive understanding of WMS requirements.
• Proven ability to collaborate in a matrix, multi-cultural organisation and build strong relationships across regions.
• Agile, proactive and able to thrive in a fast-paced, versatile environment.
• Onsite presence five days per week at one of: Paris, Lille, Marseille, Denain

Responsabilités

• Design warehousing solutions including layouts, resource calculations, IT requirements, processes and costs in line with HSSE.
• Develop and propose new logistics concepts and value propositions based on best technical and organisational solutions.
• Own value propositions with pre- and post-sales engagement from commercial and operations teams; support sales to ensure viability of solutions.
• Share market and product knowledge with stakeholders; act as a centre of excellence for solution design across Europe.
