Illumina is hiring a Field Service Engineer (Entry Level) in Paris/East France. This field-based role travels up to 80% to support customers with genomics instruments, ensuring uptime and quality service.

You will collaborate with Field Applications, Sales, and Customer Support to deliver impactful scientific outcomes. The ideal candidate has a BSc/MSc in engineering or hands-on engineering experience, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and fluency in English and French.

Qualifications

• BSc/MSc in a relevant engineering field or hands-on engineering experience.
• Strong problem‑solving and communication skills are essential.
• Fluency in English and French is required.
• Experience with complex machinery in healthcare is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Install and maintain Illumina instruments onsite in customer labs.
• Serve as interface between field organization and internal support; provide timely onsite assistance.
• Demonstrate competence installing, upgrading, repairing, and maintaining instrument systems in territory.
• Utilize manuals and SOPs; facilitate remote connectivity to instruments.
• Prioritize service requests to ensure best intervention and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain proper inventory levels of service parts for first-time fixes.
• Collaborate with sales/marketing to coordinate deployments, upgrades, and renewals.
• Build strong relationships with customers to ensure success with Illumina products.
