Welcome to the Jungle is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a squad and translate strategy into a practical roadmap. You will oversee delivery, code quality, testing discipline, CI/CD and observability while mentoring engineers and partnering with Product and Design.

The role emphasizes governance over hands-on feature shipping, with a focus on people growth, architecture review, and scalable processes across Paris and London teams.

Qualifications

• 7–12 years in engineering, including 2–5 years managing software engineers in a product company.
• Strong track record shipping with Product and Design, even when plans change mid-quarter.
• Clear coaching instincts, giving honest feedback and helping people grow.

Responsabilités

• Lead one squad and own delivery, quality and team health.
• Turn strategy into a roadmap the team can realistically hold and communicate trade-offs.
• Stay close to architecture decisions through reviews and check-ins.
• Maintain high standards for testing, CI/CD, observability and clean releases.
• Hold 1:1s with team members and manage performance conversations.
• Recruit, onboard and grow engineers and mentor seniors.
• Ensure operational rigor through risk management and incident post-mortems.
• Collaborate with other Engineering Managers, Staff engineers and VP Engineering to scale processes.
