Job summary

OpenAI is seeking an HR Business Partner to support growing teams across EMEA, with a focus on France. You will partner with regional leadership, Legal and Employee Relations to strengthen governance and employee-representation practices in France, while serving as a trusted partner across the region.

You will combine operational execution with business judgment to support performance, organizational health, and scalable people practices at scale, reporting to the International HRBP Lead.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of HR experience in fast-paced, international environments.
• Practical experience with French employment practices and employee representative bodies (CSE/works council).
• Familiarity with elections, consultations, and governance related to employee representation.
• Execution-oriented partnership with detailed, time-sensitive workstreams and multi-stakeholder coordination.
• Strong project management skills to define milestones, owners, dependencies and communications.
• Manager coaching experience for performance conversations and organizational changes.
• Operational strength to build repeatable people processes and maintain documentation.
• High integrity with discretion in handling sensitive matters and data.

Responsibilities

• Lead employee-representative work in France: own and deliver CSE-related processes, elections, consultations and communications.
• Build sustainable employee-relations processes: document governance and inputs from stakeholders.
• Support managers operating in French employment frameworks; escalate to Legal or specialists when needed.
• Drive day-to-day HR execution across EMEA with consistent, careful handling of performance and employee relations.
• Be the go-to partner for frontline managers on team health, coaching conversations, and policy interpretation.
• Operationalize People programs to ensure scalable performance, engagement, retention, and employee experience initiatives.
• Triage and resolve employee relations issues, assessing risk and coordinating with Legal and COEs.
• Maintain rigorous documentation and track themes across recurring processes.
• Collaborate with HRBPs, Legal, Employee Relations and other COEs for a consistent employee experience across EMEA.
