Octopus Energy Group is seeking a Project Electrical Engineer to own first-of-a-kind power projects for data centres and large industrials. You will manage the programme, budget, and external parties from concept through energisation.

You will lead electrical design, grid interface, and commissioning strategies across substation and enabling works. You will bring a strong background in MV/HV systems, substations and data centre power, with hands-on experience in engineering studies and project

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in electrical or power systems engineering (CEng welcome but not essential).
• 5+ years delivering energy or infrastructure projects with MV/HV experience.
• Experience with substations, networks, data centres, utilities or transport.
• Proven ability to manage programme and budgets on development or pre-construction projects.
• Knowledge of grid connection processes and relevant standards (Grid Code, CUSC, SQSS).

Responsabilités

• Own the programme and development budget from concept to energisation.
• Own electrical concept through to sign-off including single-line diagrams and layout.
• Lead grid interface with DNO/TO/NESO and coordinate ICP/IDNO work.
• Manage capex inputs and witness FAT/SAT, commissioning plans, and handover.
• Tackle first-of-a-kind projects; quickly learn unfamiliar technologies and deliver outcomes.
