Job summary

Airbus Helicopters SAS in Marignane (near Marseille) seeks an EC175 Rotors Systems engineer to join the Rotors Systems Design team. You will design rotor architectures from parts to assembled systems using 3D models and drawings, ensuring functional, kinematic, and structural integrity.

The role involves testing coordination with labs and flight tests, supplier management, and delivering certification documents; travel to France and possibly Germany is expected.

Qualifications

• Educated to 5 years’ degree level (or equivalent) in Mechanics, Design and Dynamics of structures or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in aeronautics
• General knowledge of aircraft
• Knowledge in Mechanics (preferably Aeronautics, Flight Mechanics knowledge would be a plus)
• Ability to use CAD software (preferably CATIA Vol Surf/Composite)
• Skills in dimensioning, analysis of composite materials
• Ability to work in a multi-metier environnement, within production.

Responsibilities

• Design rotor architectures from the elementary part to the assembled system and from the 3D models to the detailed drawings, considering functionals, kinematics and mechanical strength while respecting industrial constraints.
• Test: ensure quality and relevance of rotor test requests and conclusions, and support lab and flight test activities.
• Coordinate with suppliers on design, qualification, documentation, and industrialisation issues; manage project activities and KPI monitoring.
• Certify: ensure delivery and quality of certification documents and maintenance docs related to design activities.
