Job summary

One Of Us is seeking a Mid or Senior DMP Artist to join our Paris team. You will craft photo-real 2D DMPs for high-end film and TV, integrate matte paintings into 2D/3D spaces, and collaborate closely with VFX leads to ensure quality and efficiency.

You’ll balance creative and technical aspects, meet deadlines, and contribute to a strong reference library while staying current with color space and production pipelines.

Qualifications

• Proven experience developing photo-real environments.
• Strong knowledge of natural world, geology, geography and architecture.
• Experience modelling, texturing, layout, lighting and digital matte painting for high-end projects.
• Thorough understanding of 3D and 2.5D VFX processes and pipelines.
• Good CG knowledge from modelling to lighting.
• Proven experience in Nuke for projection and basic compositing.
• Experience in Houdini is a bonus.

Job description

We're looking for talented Mid and Senior DMP Artist to join our growing team in Paris. As a DMP Artist, you will be instrumental in creating stunning visual elements. You will work closely with our 2D Supervisors, Leads and artists, and other members of One Of Us to ensure the highest quality balancing the technical and creative elements of each shot you work on.

• Creating visually stunning and photo-real 2D DMP for high-end Film and TV projects.
• Integrating matte paintings into 2D or 3D environments using camera mapping (or projection mapping) techniques, primarily using software like Maya and/or Nuke.
• Collaborating with the Visual Effects Supervisor and the 2D Supervisor to evaluate the creative and technical approach to assigned shots.
• Integrating 2D, 3D and live action elements to high-end visual effects film standard.
• To take responsibility for workload, time management, notes/feedback, and any necessary actions required by Supervisors.
• To balance the creative and technical aspects of each shot.
• Reporting creative and/or technical issues.
• Meet deadlines and deliver the expected quality of each shot.
• Help build and maintain a reference library.
• Keep up with technological advancements and innovations.
• Working with a good knowledge of colour space principles.

What we're looking for:

• Proven experience developing photo-real environments.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of the natural world (geology, geography, and meteorology) and architecture (design and engineering.)
• Experience modelling, texturing, layout, lighting and digital matte painting for high-end broadcast or feature film projects.
• Thorough understanding of 3D and 2.5D VFX processes and production pipelines.
• Good knowledge in CG environments (from Modelling to Lighting.)
• Proven experience in Nuke regarding projection and basic Compositing.
• Experience in CG Environment in Houdini is a good bonus.

Hours and location

Our core hours are 09:30am to 18:30pm, or 10:00am to 19:00 pm Monday to Friday. We have a great office in the 20th arrondissement, where our artists are based.
