Job summary

One Of Us is seeking Mid and Senior Compositors to join our growing team in Paris. You will craft photo-real VFX by seamlessly integrating 2D, 3D and live-action elements, balancing creative and technical needs under supervision.

You will collaborate closely with the VFX Supervisor and artists, lead smaller tasks, and ensure notes and feedback are implemented with a strong eye for color space, lighting and composition. Hybrid work with office days in Paris.

Qualifications

• Strong production experience with Nuke.
• Familiar with stereo compositing and multi-pass renders.
• Excellent organisation and communication skills.
• Pro-active and collaborative work ethic.
• Strong eye for detail, colour and lighting.
• Ability to lead teams and perform technical checks.
• Good knowledge of colour space principles.

Responsibilities

Job description

We're looking for Mid and Senior Compositors to join our talented and growing team. As a Compositor, you will play a crucial role by seamlessly integrating visual elements. You will work closely with our 2D supervisors, Leads and artists, and other members of One Of Us to ensure the highest quality balancing the technical and creative elements of each shot you work on.

Requirements

• Creating visually stunning and photo-real visual effects for high-end Film and TV projects
• Collaborating with the Visual Effects Supervisor to evaluate the creative and technical approach to assigned shots
• Integrating 2D, 3D and live action elements to high-end visual effects film standard
• Taking responsibility for own workload, time management and notes/feedback actions required by Supervisors
• Balancing the creative and technical aspects of each shot
• Working with a good knowledge of colour space principles

What we're looking for:

• An excellent working knowledge of and production experience with Nuke
• A familiarity with stereo compositing and working with multiple render passes
• Excellent organisation, communication and interpersonal skills
• A pro-active and collaborative work ethic
• A strong eye for detail, composition, colour and lighting
• The ability to multitask, prioritise and problem solve
• An understanding of colour space principles
• Ability to lead teams and carry out technical checks for other artists

Hours and location

Our core hours are 9:30am to 18:30pm, or 10:00am to 19:00 pm Monday to Friday. We have a great office in the 20th arrondissement, where our artists are based.

You would be required to work from the office in Paris at least 4 days per week.
