Job summary

Cognite is seeking a Business Development Director within our Supply Chain Center of Excellence to drive growth by winning new supply chain business in your territory. You will act as a subject matter expert, leveraging deep domain insights to transform customer supply chains using Cognite Applications and the Cognite Data Fusion Platform.

Lead cross-functional deal teams, develop strategic territory plans, and partner with clients and internal teams to maximize bookings and value realization.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in the Manufacturing and broader industrial supply chain environment.
• 7+ years of direct or in-support sales experience, selling enterprise software/SaaS to C-level executives.
• Proven history of consistently meeting or exceeding SaaS bookings goals in direct / partner / channel-based sales models
• Prior experience operating in high-growth startup environments (Series A, B, or C stage).

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a targeted territory strategy to accelerate bookings growth and secure high-impact supply chain clients.
• Lead extended territory teams through complex enterprise sales cycles to exceed bookings targets.
• Quantify ROI and present strong business cases to enterprise executives for software investments.
• Work with partners to qualify and progress their pipeline and drive joint engagements on opportunities.
• Negotiate favorable pricing and terms with C-level executives highlighting long-term value.
• Collaborate with Product Management and Marketing to feed market supply chain insights back into strategy.
• Forecast monthly/quarterly bookings and maintain up-to-date account records in Salesforce.
