Job summary

AI4I in Turin, Italy, invites applications for a Director to shape the institute's strategic and scientific direction. You will coordinate multiple laboratories, set KPIs, and lead recruitment, partnerships, and technology transfer, aligning research with industrial needs.

You will drive business development, secure funding, and oversee education initiatives, ensuring impactful AI solutions in manufacturing, robotics, energy and infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent in engineering, physics, mathematics, computer science, economics or management.
• Proven ability to lead complex organisations and coordinate diverse teams.
• Experience securing and managing significant funding resources, including public grants or industrial partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Define AI4I's strategy for scientific and technological development and prepare multi-year strategic and annual plans.
• Set recruitment strategy and oversee hiring and talent development.
• Lead business development, technology transfer and partnerships with industry, academia and public bodies.
• Oversee AI4I's research, development and engineering activities and ensure laboratories implement their plans.
