Job summary

Dotfile is seeking a highly technical Product Director to define and build the next generation of our AI-native compliance platform. You will own major product areas end-to-end, working at the intersection of Product, Engineering, Design and customers.

You will lead a small product team, stay hands-on, and design AI-driven workflows that scale across customers and jurisdictions, while shaping the system architecture and data models with engineers.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience building software products, including significant ownership of complex B2B or infrastructure products.
• Experience managing and developing product people, while remaining close to the product and comfortable owning problems directly yourself.
• Deep technical fluency to discuss APIs, data models, system architecture, integrations and technical trade-offs directly with engineers.
• Think in systems and understand underlying primitives, abstractions and interactions for scalability.
• Hands-on with data, prototyping ideas and working closely with engineers and designers.
• AI is deeply embedded in how you work, using LLMs, coding tools and agents to research and build.
• Strong product judgment; can turn ambiguous problems into simple, user-friendly products.
• Comfort building AI products with probabilistic outputs, focusing on evaluation, reliability, observability and feedback loops.
• Thrives in a fast-moving environment with high ownership and high standards.

Responsibilities

• Own major product areas end-to-end, from understanding the problem and defining the system to shipping, adoption and iteration.
• Lead and develop a small Product team, setting a high bar for product thinking and execution while staying hands-on.
• Turn complex compliance workflows into simple, programmable product experiences scalable across customers and jurisdictions.
• Work with Engineering and Design on product architecture, data models, workflows and trade-offs.
• Design how AI agents interact with data, users and systems to investigate cases, make recommendations and automate tasks.
• Prototype ideas quickly using AI and modern tools to validate concepts and communicate what should be built.
• Spend significant time with customers and internal teams to identify recurring problems and build scalable product capabilities.
• Define clear measures of product success and use data to evaluate and iterate.
