Job summary

FUNECAP GROUPE is offering a data governance internship focused on strengthening the Data Catalog and enabling data-driven decision making.

The role involves mapping data systems, running Python analyses to improve data quality, and drafting standards for asset management with AI automation.

You will collaborate with the Data Office and IT teams to advance data accessibility and governance across the group.

Responsibilities

• Enhance the Data Catalog via mapping analysis of data systems, usages and governance.
• Run Python-based analysis to improve Data Catalog quality and fill missing attributes.
• Draft technical standards for managing assets fed into the Data Catalog: naming, classification, lifecycle rules.
• Liaise Data Catalog roadmap with AI governance objectives across the Group.
• Support DLP technologies and M365 on Microsoft stack related to AI governance (Purview, Copilot).
• Monitor KPIs and prepare reporting materials for steering committees and data landscape evolution.
• Leverage Data & Digital Solutions tools to accelerate Data and AI Governance initiatives.

Job description

Your main responsibilities in this role that you will report to the Data Project Manager will include:

Data Governance

• Enhance the comprehensiveness of the group's Data Catalog through a mapping analysis of the group's data systems, their usages and business governance - the central objective of the internship.
• Implement reporting to track the progress of the Data Catalog's adoption and completion, and run Python-based analysis to enhance the quality of its information and to calculate or complete missing attributes in the Data Catalog.
• Draft technical documentation and standards for managing the assets fed into the Data Catalog : naming, classification, ownership and lifecycle rules ; leveraging AI tools to automate the production.
• Liaise the Data Catalog roadmap with the AI governance objectives ongoing within the Group (data classification, sensitivity labelling, access rules for AI use cases).
• Support the DLP technologies and the M365 team on the Microsoft stack linked to AI governance (Purview, Microsoft 365 Copilot): sensitivity labels, DLP policies, oversharing remediation and Copilot readiness.
• Monitor KPIs and build the associated reporting materials based on your analyses and exchanges, to be presented in the data, business and IT steering committees and to communicate the evolution of the group's data landscape, governance and projects.
• Leverage the innovative tools of the Data & Digital Solutions division to accelerate Data and AI Governance initiatives.

Strategic Coordination & Alignment

• Aggregate user feedback on data accessibility and translate it into technical specifications for the IT teams to improve our Data Catalog.
• Co-construct with the DPO, IRM, IT Ops and AI governance stakeholders a unified approach on accessibility, accountability and compliance around the group's data and AI usage.
• Acting as a spokesperson for the Data Office on topics such as the Data Catalog, self-service BI, or the responsible use of AI on group data.

Data Democratization

• Act as a representative of data initiatives and promote best practices around the Data Catalog.
• Guide users towards the resources enabling them to become more autonomous in their use of data.
