Artefact is a French data and AI consulting and engineering firm based in Paris, with a global footprint. We are looking for a Manager Data Scientist to lead AI projects, guide the data science team, and drive MLOps best practices across client engagements.

You will report to the CTO, manage client relationships at the C-suite level, and champion scalable, high-impact data solutions that align with business goals.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience building data-driven solutions.
• Strong knowledge in applied machine learning and generative AI.
• Solid understanding of software engineering and MLOps best practices.
• Experience with industrializing AI workflows in cloud environments.

Responsabilités

• Lead end-to-end client projects: frame use cases with business stakeholders and implement AI solutions with measurable impact.
• Promote software engineering and MLOps best practices to deliver scalable, production-ready solutions.
• Support solution design: challenge requirements, validate data availability, and select methodologies and architectures.
• Be the technical reference for clients: explain AI approaches, assess feasibility, risks and ROI.
• Develop trusted client relationships with C-level and operations teams to position Artefact as a long-term partner on Data & AI journeys.
• Manage the country’s data science team: staffing, mentoring, and career development.
• Develop Artefact's technical expertise: test advanced AI approaches and build reusable accelerators.
• Lead by example as a tech manager, providing feedback and ensuring project delivery.
