Job summary

Malt is Europe's leading freelance marketplace. Join Malt’s Legal team in Paris to work closely with the Data Protection Officer and Compliance Officer on GDPR and digital regulatory matters.

You will assist with DSAR intake, vendor privacy reviews, DPIAs, and keeping ROPA and privacy registers up to date, while monitoring GDPR, EU AI Act and NIS2 developments. This is an internship designed for Master’s students with bilingual English/French proficiency.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Master’s degree (Master 2) or École du Barreau specializing in GDPR and digital regulatory frameworks.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills; ability to review legal documents carefully.
• Fluency in English and French, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Assist with intake, verification and handling of Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs) within statutory deadlines.
• Conduct third-party vendor privacy risk assessments and review Data Processing Agreements (DPAs).
• Support Data Transfer Impact Assessments (DTIAs) and process vendor reviews within the five-day service level.
• Audit and update the Record of Processing Activities (ROPA) and other privacy registers under DPO guidance.
• Monitor GDPR, EU AI Act and NIS2 developments and prepare concise legal briefs.
• Support internal compliance queries, KYC/AML checks and ethics policies.
• Refresh internal policy guides and help design employee privacy-awareness training resources.
