Malt is hiring a Data Engineer Intern to join the Data Platform team in Paris for 6 months, starting September 2026. You will work closely with a Senior Analytics Engineer on AI-ready data pipelines and agents that speed up the data team.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a BAC+4/5 with strong SQL, dbt modeling, and Python skills, plus experience with OpenAI API or LangChain. This internship offers hands-on production work and a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a (BAC+4/5) in Computer Science, Data Engineering or related field; final year welcome.
• Strong SQL skills and ability to build dbt models and pipelines.
• Proficiency in Python and scripting for data tasks.
• Hands-on experience with AI tools (OpenAI API, LangChain or similar).
• Understanding of data quality, lineage and observability.

Responsabilités

• Contribute to delivering a context layer for AI readiness under guidance.
• Help implement the context layer strategy and test with AI tools.
• Assist in removing legacy tables and deprecating outdated structures.
• Build and iterate on AI agents within the data engineering codebase to reduce repetitive work.
• Collaborate with engineering, analytics and business teams.
• Document architecture decisions, data model patterns and agent capabilities.
